National Peroxide Limited (NPL) is a public limited Company established in 1954 and is listed on BSE Limited, Mumbai. NPL is a pioneer in India for peroxygen chemicals and is the largest manufacturer of hydrogen peroxide in India, with an installed capacity of 150,000 MTPA on 50% w/w basis. Its fully integrated manufacturing site for Hydrogen Peroxide is located at Kalyan in Maharashtra. Its logo is a monogram of its acronym designed to look like a molecular structure ensconced by two thin blue lines and ‘NPL’ is written in a blue background. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
