The emblem of Government Polytechnic, Khutri, Bokaro (GP Khutri) features an uniquely shaped  yellow, green and blue shield inscribed with the motifs of a computer, an industrial worker with a spanner and a robotic arm working on a car plan. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels on the sides and the name of the college is inscribed on a black banner placed below the shield. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines taught at the college.

The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.
