The motto reads  in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita), which translates to ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’. The stack of books represents formal academic learning, the accumulation of engineering and technological knowledge and structured intellectual development; the silhouette of a woman signifies the college centers its entire mission around women and it represents the modern, focused and forward-looking female technocrat; and the cradle hands represent support, care, guidance and a nurturing environment.
