The name of the college is written below the seal. The left-hand electrical symbol refers to Fleming's Left-Hand Rule, a visual guide used to find the direction of force in an electric motor; the factory, transmission tower, antenna and computer refer to the subject disciplines of engineering; the gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
