The logo of JnanaVikas Institute of Technology (JVIT) features an emblem with a traditional lamp, a sun and a pair of supporting laurels ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its managing Trust. Below the seal, on a green banner, the year of its establishment inscribed on it. The initials and the name of the college is written on the right of the emblem. The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the sun denotes represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’.
