TONTADARYA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (TCE)

The emblem of Tontadarya College of Engineering (TCE) features an image of Shri Tontadarya Swamiji surrounded by a number of pots holding snakes and a bullock ensconced by a blue circular border with teeth of gearwheel inscribed with its name and its year of establishment. Below the gearwheel, on a blue banner, the motto of the college in Kannada ‘ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬಲದಿಂದ ಅಜ್ಞಾನದ ಕೇಡು’ (Vachana 24) meaning ‘Ignorance is Destroyed By the Power of Knowledge’ and the name of the managing Trust is written. The image of swamiji represents wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual enlightenment; in Veerashaivism, snakes (often identified with the serpent Vasuki) symbolize various aspects, including control over desires, spiritual energy (Kundalini), and the ability to overcome fear and negativity; the bull, specifically Nandi, is a powerful symbol of devotion, loyalty, and strength; and the gearwheel denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
