College of Engineering (SLNCE) is a shield featuring the motifs of spool of thread, a shuttle, a transmission tower, a computer, a partial gearwheel, and building blocks referring to subject disciplines of engineering. Above the motifs, the motto of the College ‘Lighted to Enlighten’ supported by a pair of traditional lamps is written and on a banner placed across the shield, the name of the college is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery;; and the lamps are symbols of light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

THE BIHAR REGIMEN The Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim influences intermingled to produce a soldiery which was traditionally arms bearing, disciplined and deeply religious. The Bihar Regiment claims its origins from the sepoy battalions raised in 1758 by Clive at Patna. The Bihari or poorbia or purviah soldier thereafter continued to provide the backbone of The Bengal Infantry of the British. Its Regimental Centre is Danapur, Bihar and its Regimental insignia is the Ashoka lion. Its Regimental motto is ‘Karam Hi Dharam’ (Work is Worship) and its war cry is ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’ (Victory to Bajrang Bali)and ‘Birsa Munda Ki Jai’ (Victory to Birsa Munda).
