The emblem of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT) features a red shield housing a gearwheel holding the motifs of a transmission tower, a satellite dish antenna, a bridge, a pair of power symbols, and a sun and crested by a traditional lamp. The gearwheel is surmounted by the motto of the Institute and crested by the year of establishment of the Institute. On a swirling green banner, placed below the seal, the name of the managing Trust is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the gearwheel refers to engineering, technology, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the lamp symbolises symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of engineering.

The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.
