The name of the managing Trust surmounts the globe and on a green plaque, the initials ‘KNS’ is inscribed. The emblem is supported by a set of fives leaves on each side and the name of the college is written at the bottom. The globe refers to education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; and the green leaves denote eternity, fidelity, and strong attachment.

The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.
