The circular emblem of KLE Institute of Technology (KLEIT) features a monogram of its initials ‘KLE’ with the vertical stroke of ‘K’ inscribed with ‘KLEIT’ and a nib of a pen crests it. The monogram is supported by a yellow ochre banner inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्या सर्वस्य पूजनम्' meaning ‘Knowledge is the Supreme Worship’ and its year of establishment. The seal is ensconced by a yellow ochre circle and a grey circular border inscribed with the name of the college. The pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence.

The university started as College of Engineering Visakhapatnam founded by the Government of the composite Madras State in 1946. The college became a constituent of JNTU, Hyderabad in 1972. INDIAN GRAPE PROCESSING BOARD Keeping the above in mind and to co-ordinate the efforts for promotion and development of the wine industry in India in close association with industry, producers and other stakeholders, the Union Cabinet in its meeting held on January 2, 2009 gave its approval for the establishment of the Indian Grape Processing Board (IGPB) under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Board has its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra that is close to the principal grape growing and processing areas in the country. Its logo has a wine glass with a bunch of grapes and vine leaf in white in a light green circle, which is surrounded by its name in black sans serif text.
