In the border at the top 'ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ' in Kannada; meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS Maha Vidyapeetha’ are written. These are further ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of place of the college. On the right of the seal the initials of the college ‘JSSATE’ and ‘Bengaluru’ are written.

KALINGA INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was established in 1992 as a vocational training centre with two staff and twelve students. KIIT owes its existence to the vision of its founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta. The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
