The emblem of Sri Revana Siddeshwara Institute of Technology (SRSIT) (SRS Tech) features the motifs of an open book and a fountain pen supporting a flame of fire, a set of students and a structure of an atom on a blue circle. The circle has orange rays around it symbolising the sun. The assemblage is surmounted by the motto of the college and supported by a blue banner inscribed with the group’s name. At the bottom, the year of establishment of the college is written. The book refers to education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the atomic structure refers to science and technology; and the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity.

WESTERN AIR COMMAND The origin of the Western Air Command can be traced back to the nascent years of independent India, when the various formations of the Air Force were organised into two groups. On July 22, 1949 the No 1 Operational Group was re-designated as the Operational Command. The Command assumed its present name of Headquarters Western Air Command on June 10, 1963. Headquarters Western Air Command, located at Subroto Park, New Delhi, has over 200 bases placed under its command and has been involved in all major operations in India since independence. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
