The emblem of Sampoorna Institute of Technology & Research (SITR) features a globe of the world inscribed with the initials ‘SITAR’, crested by a flying eagle placed on an open book. A blue banner inscribed with the name of the college is placed on the globe at the bottom. The ends of the banner holds a pencil and a pen. The book refers to knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the eagle symbolises power, courage, wisdom, freedom, and majesty; and the pencil and the pen denote freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
