The emblem of Bishop Ambrose College (BAC) features a pulpit inscribed with a cross supporting an open book and a traditional lamp surmounted by the motto of the college ‘Knowledge Charity Formation’ and supported by the tagline ‘In Brotherly Love’. The pulpit symbolises the authority, centrality, and proclamation of God’s Word in Christian worship; the cross is the primary symbol of Christianity, representing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, his ultimate sacrifice, and victory over sin and death; the book symbolises knowledge, learning, education, and wisdom; and the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
