The logo of Thiruvalluvar College, Papanasam features the Tamil letters ‘ஓம்’ (Ohm, Om or ॐ) holding the motifs of a lotus on water supporting the gopuram of Sri Papanasanathar Temple, with the Papanasam Waterfalls forming the backdrop. The name and place of the college in Tamil surmounts the letter and the motto of the college ‘மெய்ப்பொருள்’ meaning ‘The Ultimate Reality’ supports it. The name of the college is written on the right of the seal. The motto of the college ‘Wisdom Discerns Truth’ is written below the name. The ‘ஓம்’ is a symbol representing a sacred sound, syllable, mantra and an invocation; the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the gopuram refers to the heritage and history of the place and divine blessings; and the waterfalls refers to the important geographical and tourist feature of the locale.
