The gopuram of the temple symbolises to the local heritage, history and divine blessings and guidance; the book refers to education, learning and wisdom; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; and the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.

The green colour emblem of the institute has a bottom half of a gear wheel supporting the acronym ‘KIIT’ of its name in which the two ‘i’s depicting two humans.
