The red, brown and golden emblem of Bishop Caldwell College (BCC) features a shield with glowing rays housing the motifs of an open book, a pearl nestled within an open oyster shell, a pair of candles and the motto ‘Seek Study Shine’ and ‘நாடுக கற்க ஒளிர்க’. The shield is surmounted by a banner inscribed with the name of the college and supported by a banner inscribed with the name of the place of the college. The red shield symbolises frontline compassion, sacrifice, and divine protection; the pearl in an oyster shell pearl nestled within an open oyster shell; the book refers to learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; the candles representing hope, spiritual guidance, and the triumph of light over darkness; and the colour gold symbolises wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
