The shield is supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in ‘مَن يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِي ۖ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ’ (surah Araf aya 178) meaning ‘He whom God guides is rightly guided’. This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the balance scale refers to justice, equality and fairness; the rocket and the factory refer to science and engineering; the hoe and paddy refer to agriculture.
