TEXCITY ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE (TASC)

The emblem of Texcity Arts and Science College (TASC) features a shield inscribed with the motifs of an open book, a rocket, a hoe and sheaf of paddy, a two pan beam balance and a factory with a chimney. The shield is supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college in ‘مَن يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِي ۖ وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ’ (surah Araf aya 178) meaning ‘He whom God guides is rightly guided’. This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its year of establishment. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book refers to education, knowledge, learning and wisdom; the balance scale refers to justice, equality and fairness; the rocket and the factory refer to science and engineering; the hoe and paddy refer to agriculture.

All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.
