The emblem of Theni College of Arts and Science (TCAS) features a shield inscribed with the initials of the college ‘TCAS’ and ‘Where Success Begins’ and the motifs of five stars, an open book with wings and a torch with flame. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels and five stars. The name and place of the college is written at the bottom. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the book and scribe refer to education, learning and wisdom; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the pair of wings symbolise freedom, transcendence of earthly limitations, spirituality, and divine protection; the set of five stars symbolise the five elements of earth, air, fire, water, and spirit), protection, or the five senses; and the laurels are symbols of ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.
