The shield-shaped emblem of The Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women (Autonomous) (TSFRCW) features the motifs of  a set of six six-pointed stars, a ‘kuthuvilakku’ (traditional lamp), a set of palmleaf manuscripts, a veena and the monogram of Standard Fireworks. Below the shield, on a banner, the motto of the college in Tamil ‘சேர வாரும் செகத்தீரே’ (Thayumanavar) meaning ‘Come and Gather, O People of the World!’ is inscribed. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the six six-pointed stars symbolises a profound, repeating balance between dualities, representing the union of masculine (upward triangle) and feminine (downward triangle) energies across multiple dimensions, such as heaven and earth or spirit and matter; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the palmleaf manuscripts refer to education, history, knowledge and heritage; and the veena refers to arts, music, heritage and culture.

PALLAVA DYNASTY - BULL The Pallava Dynasty existed from 275 CE to 897 CE, ruling a significant portion of the Deccan, also known as Thondaimandalam. The dynasty rose to prominence after the downfall of the Satavahana dynasty, with whom they had formerly served as feudatories. The Pallavas became a major South Indian power during the reign of Mahendravarman I(600–630 CE) and Narasimhavarman I (630–668 CE), dominating for about 600 years, until the end of the 9th century. Kancheepuram served as the capital of the Pallava kingdom.  They developed the Pallava script, from which, Grantha ultimately took form. This script eventually gave rise to several other Southeast Asian scripts such Khmer. The Chinese traveller Xuanzang visited Kanchipuram during Pallava rule and extolled their benign rule. ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY Aligarh Muslim University grew out of the work of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. Raja Jai Kishan helped Sir Syed in establishing the university. The British decision to replace the use of Persian in 1842 for government employment and as the language of Courts of Law caused deep anxiety among Muslims of the sub-continent. His purpose for the establishment of the Scientific Society in 1864, in Aligarh. Sir Syed's son, Syed Mahmood, who was an alumnus of Cambridge prepared a proposal for an independent university to the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College Fund Committee upon his return from England in 1872.
