The shield is supported by a slab inscribed with the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञानेन शोभामहे’ (20, Niti Shatakam, Bhartrihari) meaning ‘We Shine Through knowledge’. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the star represents excellence, guidance, and the light of knowledge; and the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of science, engineering and technology.
