The sun symbolises knowledge, enlightenment, and the source of all energy; the serpents are ‘Nagas’ flanking the sun in the context of the Scindia family symbolise protection, power and heritage; and the boat and waves symbolises the journey of life or the crossing of the ‘ocean of ignorance’ to the ‘shore of knowledge’.
