HOMEOPATHIC MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL
(SKHMCH) |
The emblem of Shri Kamaxidevi Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital (SKHMCH) features a red cross inscribed with the motif of Staff of Hermes entwined with a pair of serpents supported by a traditional lamp and an open book. A twig of leaves is placed on the cross. The motto of the college ‘Similia Similibus Curentur’ meaning meaning ‘Like is Cured by Like’ is inscribed below the emblem. The year of establishment of the college is written at the bottom. The cross is a recognisable generic emblem for medicine, commonly associated with first aid, medical services, products or professionals; the Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined snakes and wings denotes medicine and medical profession; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the twig represents new beginnings, connection to nature and the quiet resilience of growth.
