The emblem of Government Engineering College, Kishanganj (GEC Kishanganj) features a blue and yellow gearwheel inscribed with the name and place of the college in Devanagari and English. The wheel houses a diagram of an atom with an open book and a traditional lamp along with the year of establishment of the college. The emblem was designed by Dr. Sandeep Agarwal, Assistant Professor with the assistance of students and approved by Dr. Neeraj Kumar. The atom represents the fundamental building block of matter and for the growth of mankind, the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the book denotes knowledge, education, learning and wisdom; and the gearwheel symbolises technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure.
