The emblem of Vidya Vihar Institute of Technology, Purnea (VVIT Purnea) features a red and dark blue gearwheel inscribed with the name of the college and its motto in Sanskrit ‘आत्म दीपो भवः’ meaning 'Let One's Atma Illuminate'. The blue circle placed in the gearwheel houses a shield inscribed with the motifs of a campus, a pair of electrical transmission towers with lines, a computer and a pair of sprocket wheels superimposed with an abstract figure of a human running with a torch of flames in one hand. The gearwheel denotes technology, engineering, interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the human with torch symbolises enlightenment, the transmission of knowledge, and the preservation of truth or legacy; the other motifs refer to the subject disciplines of science, engineering and technology; the colour red signifies passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration; and blue signifies serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
