The cross is a symbol of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and represents the redeeming benefits of his sacrifice and divine love; the dove represents the Holy Spirit, peace, purity and God's presence; the book is Bible, which represents the Word of God, scripture and the foundation of wisdom and theological study; and the lamps refer to the Holy Spirit in Christianity often or the ‘water of life’.
