The emblem of features a shield with red outlines housing an image of Gautam Buddha with abhaya mudra seated on a lotus throne ensconced by a red circular outline. The motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead Me to Light’ is written on both sides of the image. The slogan of the college in Sanskrit ‘बुद्धं शरणं गच्छामि' meaning ‘I Take Refuge in the Buddha’ and the place of the college are written around the image. Gautama Buddha represents peace, wisdom, mindfulness and the rich historical heritage of Gaya (Bodh Gaya), where he achieved enlightenment. The abhaya mudra symbolises overcoming the fear of the unknown, imparting confidence, and offering protection and reassurance to students on their learning journey. The lotus represents purity, resilience and spiritual detachment. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery.
