(GGITS) |
The emblem of Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Sciences (GGITS) features a circle with a scenery consisting of a mountain, a waterfall, sun, a transmission tower, a dish antenna and a computer ensconced by an orange gearwheel inscribed with the name and place of the college. The wheel is supported by a pair of green laurels at the bottom. On a yellow ribbon placed on the seal at the bottom, the motto of the college in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’ is inscribed. At the meeting point of the laurels the initials’GGITS’is written on a yellow circle. The gearwheel represents industrialisation, mechanical engineering and continuous progress; the computer modern computing, information technology and software development; the transmission tower and the satellite dish symbolise electrical engineering, telecommunications and global connectivity. The waterfall and mountain depict the natural landscape of Jabalpur (famous for Bhedaghat and the Narmada River), symbolising a solid foundation, clarity and the natural flow of wisdom. The outer golden perimeter resembles a stylised sun, denoting the dawn of illumination and the dispersal of ignorance through education. The laurels represent academic honour, growth, peace and sustainability.
