INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT
(VITM) |
The emblem of Vidyadaan Institute of Technology and Management (VITM) features a large panel in the shape of a segment of a circle inscribed with the image of a banyan tree, a winding path, a pair of abstract humans, surmounted by the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘विद्यादानम् महादानम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge of Education is the Great Donation’ (1713, Mahāsubhāṣita-saṅgraha) and supported by its name “Vidyadaan’. The banyan tree is a traditional symbol of strength, immortality and eternal life. In the context of education, it represents a vast canopy of knowledge that provides shelter and growth to students. The winding blue path beneath the tree, symbolising the journey of learning and the continuous flow of knowledge. The human figures represent the Guru (Teacher) and Shishya (Student) relationship, emphasising mentorship and the passing of wisdom from one generation to the next. The colour green signifies growth, harmony, and sustainability, reflecting an environment focused on nurturing student potential.
