KARPAGAM ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE) established under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956. Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, the president of Karpagam Charity trust (KCT). The emblem of the university has a rising sun in a green circle supported by an open book created using six grey swooshes and below these its motto ‘Enable Enlighten Enrich’ is written. Its name is written in grey and green sans serif font alongwith its status at the bottom. The rising sun denotes light, universal prosperity and path for growth; the open book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom; the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth and the colour grey represents strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence.

GOVERNMENT SIVAGANGAI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL (GSMCH) The emblem of Government Sivagangai Medical College and Hospital (GSMCH) features the Staff of Hermes or Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of serpents placed in a yellow oval, which is placed on a brown panel. The oval is surmounted by the initials of the college and supported by a banner inscribed with the motto of the college ‘Learn to Serve Poor’. The staff with the snake has long been a symbol of medicine and the medical profession.

MADHAV UNIVERSITY The emblem of Madhav University (MU) is a monogram has a monogram of its acronym in black and white on an orange background and supported by its name written on a black band in white using sans serif bold condensed typeface. The letter ‘U’ is treated as ‘gopi chandan tilak’ as applied by the devotees of Lord Krishna. The colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness; the colour brown signifies earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition and the colour black signifies mystery, power, elegance and sophistication.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. Mysore State was the predecessor to Karnataka State, which was created on November 1, 1965. Sri. L. Rickets was appointed as first Inspector General of Police. During the rule of Maharajas of Mysore, the policing existed in different variants. Hukumnama or Kandachara was issued for policing during the rule of Maharaja Mummudi Krishna Raja Wodeyar (1799-1811) at old Mysore region under the British rule, when Sri. Poornaiah was Dewan. RAJENDRA UNIVERSITY Rajendra University, Balangir, recognized by UGC as a State Public University, owes its origin to an Intermediate college setup in Balangir in 1944 by Maharaja Rajendra Narayan Sighdeo, the then ruler of the erstwhile Patna State and one of the former Chief Ministers of Odisha. This college was subsequently upgraded to a Degree college in 1946. It was granted autonomy with effect from April 1, 2002. It has been upgraded to a university with effect from September 1, 2020. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons. The recycle emblem and the graduate are separated by a pair of downward flowing ribbons. Below the gear, the year of establishment of the university is written.
