National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) is an institute dedicated to neuroscience research and education. Scientists and students at NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds, including biological, computational, mathematical, physical, engineering and medical sciences and use multidisciplinary approaches to unravel function under healthy and pathological conditions. The emblem of the university has a brain in red colour which is divided into eight parts by eight lines crossing each other at a point. This represents the multifarious ways and means used to study the human brain in this centre. The colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.
