The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), comprises KISS Foundation, KISS School and College and KISS University. KISS Foundation is an NGO headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The emblem of the university has the blue colour motifs of three children playing with balls crested by the acronym of its name and supported by its name written in a circular form in green colour. The colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

The name and place of the college is written around the circle. A purple laurel supports the seal. The mountains and river refer to the local topography of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan mountain ranges; the lightning bolt symbiosis raw energy, power, enlightenment, and the sparking of knowledge; and the laurels represent a traditional laurel wreath, which symbolises academic triumph, victory and the pursuit of honour.

An image of Goddess Saraswati is placed on the right and an image of a palm tree placed on the right. All these are ensconced by red circular outlines and surmounted by the name of the college.
