MEENAKSHI ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

The Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) is a Deemed to be University incorporating a consortium of institutions in Chennai and Kanchipuram. Under the aegis of MAHER, there are three constituent units at Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu - the Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI), Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing (AMCON) and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS); one unit at Maduravoyal, Chennai- Meenakshi Ammal Dental College and Hospital (MADCH) and Meenakshi College of Nursing (MCON) at Mangadu, Chennai providing education in the field of healthcare. The blue colour emblem of the university has a shield with a Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined serpents representing medicine and medical profession supported by an open book symbolising education, knowledge and wisdom and on its left side a satellite antenna with a globe representing communication and global connectivity and three meshing gears symbolising engineering. All these are topped by its acronym. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery. Below the shield, on a banner its motto ‘Knowledge is Power’ is written. All these are ensconced in a circular border, which carries its name and status.

SANT BABA BHAG SINGH UNIVERSITY The emblem of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University (SBBSU) in orange and blue has a Khanda forming the background for orange rising sun supported by an open book and a pair of laurels on sides surmounted by its acronym. KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. RAJENDRA UNIVERSITY Rajendra University, Balangir, recognized by UGC as a State Public University, owes its origin to an Intermediate college setup in Balangir in 1944 by Maharaja Rajendra Narayan Sighdeo, the then ruler of the erstwhile Patna State and one of the former Chief Ministers of Odisha. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons. The recycle emblem and the graduate are separated by a pair of downward flowing ribbons. Below the gear, the year of establishment of the university is written. The edge of the shield is marked by the name of the university in English.
