The emblem of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences (BRAUSS) has a blue circle housing the motifs of a torch held by multiple hands supported by an open book. This is ensconced by a white circular border with blue outlines on which the name and place of the university is inscribed. Below the circular seal on a white banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘अत्त दीपो भव’ meaning ‘Be Your Own Lamp’ is inscribed. The torch held by multiple hands symbolises eternity, collectivism and growth and the open book symbolises education, knowledge, learning and wisdom.

Its emblem is a gearwheel with sixteen teeth in a dark violet colour encompassing a yellow border and a light green circle. The border carries the name of the college. The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is the thirty-first institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016. Its circular emblem has a ‘Poorna Kumbham’ or ‘Kalasha’ which means ‘Full or Complete Vessel’ when the pot is referred to as the Kalasha. The Purna-Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and 'Source of Life' in the Vedas. Purna-Kumbha is a Vedic motif, known from the time of Rigveda. It is held above the lotus, which is supported by a book and a pair of laurels of cereal on both the sides.
