The blue and yellow insignia of O.P. Jindal Global University (OPJGU) has an uniquely shaped shield holding the motifs of an open book with a star placed on it, supporting a glowing globe. The book is placed above a stem of a tree with multiple branches and supported by a traditional lamp placed within its acronym. Below the shield, on a banner the name of the university is written. The globe represents education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the open book represents learning, knowledge, education and wisdom; the star denotes perfect harmony among all things in life, with its points providing insight into how we can strive towards achieving this goal; the branches of a tree denotes growth and development; the lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery and the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
