The emblem of Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (PDPV) has a pictorial with a shield in brown colour holding its acronym in white and gold. This is supported by a golden swan with its wings spread. Above the swan, on a brown banner , the name of the trust is inscribed. Below the pictorial there is a brown colour monogram of its acronym supported by two gold colour swooshes on the letter ‘D’. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the swan denotes grace, elegance, dynamism, education and knowledge. The colour brown symbolises earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition and the colour gold denotes wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vide its letter dated March 8, 2022 has advised that NaBFID shall be regulated and supervised by RBI as an All India Financial Institution (AIFI) under sections 45L and 45N of the RBI Act, 1934, respectively.
