The emblem of Geeta University (GU) has a blue shield on which a monogram of its acronym in white and its name in orange are inscribed. ALongside its name, place and its motto ‘Powering Education, Empowering Minds’ are written in sans serif typeface. The shield represents protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

The name and place of the college is written around the circle. A purple laurel supports the seal. The mountains and river refer to the local topography of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan mountain ranges; the lightning bolt symbiosis raw energy, power, enlightenment, and the sparking of knowledge; and the laurels represent a traditional laurel wreath, which symbolises academic triumph, victory and the pursuit of honour.

The mountain range and landscape reflects the mighty Shivalik hills and Himalayas that surround the Udhampur region in Jammu and Kashmir. In the border at the top 'ಕಾಯಕವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ' in Kannada  meaning ‘Work is Worship’ and at the bottom ‘JSS Maha Vidyapeetha’ are written. These are further circumscribed by three pairs of two overlapping arrows in orange and blue forming a revolving pattern also forming a hexagon. The emblem denotes constant evolution and growth.
