The circular emblem of Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (PBDASUHS) houses the motifs of Staff of Hermes with a pair of entwined serpents and a wings crested by a traditional lamp and supported by an open book and its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad ) meaning ‘May All be Healthy’. All theses are ensconced by a circular border with black outlines on which the name and place of the university is inscribed. The Staff of Hermes or Caduceus represents medicine and the medical profession; the lamp denotes and the open book symbolises education, knowledge, learning and wisdom.

GLOBAL CENTRE FOR NUCLEAR ENERGY PARTNERSHIP Global Centre for Nuclear Energy Partnership (GCNEP) comes under the purview of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) of Government of India. The vignetted blue to cyan colour circular logo has a partial structure of atom on top and its acronyms in Devanagari and English. The motto of the institution is written along the circumference in Devanagari ‘राष्ट्र की सेवा में परमाणु’ meaning ‘Atoms in the Service of the Nation, above and below respectively in grey. The taglines are supported on either side by Indian National Tricolour stripes.

The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. DIRECTORATE OF FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICES During 1983, the then Scientific Advisory Committee to the Cabinet (SAC-C) under the overall guidance of an Expert Committee chaired by Prof. M. M. Sharma, FRS, recommended that the laboratories in Delhi, Calcutta and Hyderabad must be developed as Science and Technology institutions, functioning in an autonomous fashion. Accordingly, the Government of India declared the forensic science Institutions, as Science and Technology institutions. In the first phase, the three Central Forensic Science Laboratories at Calcutta, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh were restructured into six scientific division viz. Biology, Ballistics, Chemistry, Explosive, Physics and Toxicology.
