The light green circular emblem of Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University (KSRDPRU) has the motifs of Gear wheel, microscope, diploma, mortarboard hat, bullock cart, satellite antenna, wheel of charkha, a pair of laurels, group of humans and an open book written with its motto in Kannada. All these are ensconced in a white circular border with green outlines on which its name and place in Kannada and its acronym are written. The seal is crested by the emblem of the State of Karnataka. Below the seal on a white banner its tagline ‘Rural Roots Global Heights’ is inscribed. The gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the microscope, the antenna, the cart and the mortarboard hat denotes educational domain and its resultant achievements; The charkha refers to its rural orientation; the laurels refers to ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; The open book denotes education, learning, knowledge and wisdom; the group of people refers to community and unity; and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
