The red and green emblem of PGS-India (Participatory Guarantee System of India) - Green has a pair of hands depicted as grass holding a ball of red denoting that a product is from a farm that is in the process of becoming organic and has stopped using chemicals in its cultivation and production. Below the motif its name is written in sans serif typeface. The colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
