At the right its name is written sans serif extra bold with its motto ‘The Knowledge Experts’ and its place. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the blue cross symbolises the humanity of Jesus Christ; aspiring humans reaching for the stars refers to the process of education provided by the university to make them as achievers; the pencil denotes freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty; red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’. The logo of the university has a blue and green abstract pictorial of ‘U’ and on its right a wordmark of its name in capitals thin serif letters with smooth transition of strokes. The counter of the ‘U’ is filled blue and a stroke of blue and green flows across diagonally from left to right top. This is further cut out by another ‘U’ at the top right corner. The colour blue represents serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour green denotes life, production, fertility, agriculture, environment and nature. The logo is modern, trendy and attractive.
