The emblem of Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (DBSKKV) has a violet circle that houses the motifs of a lotus supported by a pair of ploughs. This is ensconced by a circular border which carries the name and motto in Sanskrit 'विश्वंबरा वसुधानि प्रतिष्ठा' of the institution. All these are placed on a decorative pattern of green leaves supported by a face of cattle. The lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the other motifs denote agriculture and agricultural technology; the violet colour means creativity, wisdom, sensitivity, spirituality, nobility, ceremony, mystery, enlightenment, future, imagination, dreams and wealth and the green colour means agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
