The circular emblem of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University Haryana (DBRANLU) in blue tones has a light blue circle housing the motifs of a two-pan beam balance, a pair of supporting laurels, a rising sun and an open book. These are ensconced by a blue circular border on which the name and place of the university is inscribed. On a banner placed on the seal at the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘नीयतेविवक्षितार्थः अनेनइतिन्यायः’ (Rishi Akshapada Gautam, Nyaya Sutra) meaning ‘The Means by which we Reach our Object (knowable) element and are able to Know it, that means Justice’. The two-pan beam balance is the symbol of justice, fairness, healing and life; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the open book denotes knowledge, wisdom, learning and education and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.
