PRADHAN MANTRI MUDRA YOJANA
Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) was launched by the Prime Minister on April 8, 2015. The scheme aims to create a formal financial system and enable small borrowers to borrow from all the public sector banks such as PSU banks, Regional Rural Banks and cooperative banks, private sector banks, foreign banks, Micro Finance Institutions (MFI) and Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFC). The PMMY is an iconic logotype comprising different elements such as the graphical element, the '₹' symbol inscribed on the circular shape and the text matter ‘Mudra’ in Samarkan font with ‘r’ being replaced by Rupee symbol. Vivid colours are used in the logo to express the identity of the organisation including the tricolour of the Indian flag

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

WESTERN AIR COMMAND The origin of the Western Air Command can be traced back to the nascent years of independent India, when the various formations of the Air Force were organised into two groups. On July 22, 1949 the No 1 Operational Group was re-designated as the Operational Command. The Command assumed its present name of Headquarters Western Air Command on June 10, 1963. Headquarters Western Air Command, located at Subroto Park, New Delhi, has over 200 bases placed under its command and has been involved in all major operations in India since independence. Due to its geographical location the Command has always been the hub-centre of all operational activities during any operation. Its insignia has a ‘trishul’ and an eagle in the centre of a circle which is topped by India’s national emblem. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘Akashmasthseema’ in golden border is placed at the bottom.

SPINTRONIC TECHNOLOGY & ADVANCE RESEARCH (STAR) The emblem of Spintronic Technology & Advance Research (STAR) features a yellow and bluetoned star inscribed with the college’s acronym encircled by fifteen stars in yellow, red and blue shades. On a blue ribbon placed below the star, the name and place of the college are written. The large star represents the acronym ‘STAR’ and reflects the institution's vision for students to ‘sparkle in the galaxy of technological arena’. It symbolises the ‘conquering of all frontiers’ in technical education and the aim for students to become leading luminaries. The ring of stars represents a community of scholars or diverse engineering disciplines. The shades of colours represent the different branches of engineering offered; and the gold and yellow hues in the emblem symbolise excellence, quality, and high standards in education and research.
