Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank (APGB) came into existence from June 1, 2006 by amalgamating Rayalaseema Grameena Bank, Sri Anantha Grameena Bank and Pinakini Grameena Bank consequent upon the Government of India Notification dated June 1, 2006. The emblem of the bank has a traditional lamp glowing red in the centre encircled by a black gear wheel on a green background. These are ensconced in a white border on the top portion of which its name is written in cyan; at the bottom its acronym is written and on either side the crown of paddy is placed. At the bottom of the emblem its tagline in Telugu is written. The lamp denotes light, path for growth and way forward; gear wheel is the symbol of industrialisation and progress; green is the colour of life, agriculture and village and crown of paddy denotes agriculture, harvest and food safety. All these represent the service domain of the bank.
