ELLAQUAI DEHATI BANK

Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB) is a RRB established on July 16, 1979 under the RRBs Act 1976. Government of India, State Bank of India (SBI) and Government of Jammu and Kashmir are the joint owners of the bank. The circular emblem is in light blue and yellow ochre colours has a gear wheel in the centre which has its motto ‘The Spirit of Service’. These are ensconced by a circular light blue banner with a golden border that has the bank’s name written on it, which is supported on either side by a laurel. The colour blue represents trust, serenity, calmness, depth and loyalty for which the bank stands for. Gold symbolises wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement, which the bank wishes its customers and stakeholders to attain. Laurels are a reminder of the hard work and dedication that it takes to achieve success.
