The insignia in red and yellow of G H Raisoni University (GHRU) is a shield with a banner on it and supported by a pair of laurels. The shield with red outline houses a glowing sun in which an umbrella dome is placed. The bottom of the shield flowing water is depicted. The red and yellow banner is inscribed with the name of the university. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the dome denotes achievement, pinnacle and glory; the flowing waters represents Kulbehra river; the laurels represent ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication; the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and the colour yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

The charkha or spinning wheel, is a symbol of self-sufficiency, freedom and resilience.
