CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF HIMACHAL PRADESH 

The Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) which received Presidential assent on March 20, 2009 provided for the establishment of Central University of Himachal Pradesh amongst others. The University became functional with the assumption of charge by the first Vice Chancellor on January 20, 2010. The logo of the University is a unique combination of the typography and the visual approach enlightening the identity. It reflects the ambition of the university in the field of education, empowerment and environment. The three colours (i.e., yellow, green and cyan) used in the university logo are symbolised as: blue: education and empowerment; green: growth and environment and orange: development. The instantaneous view of the logo in itself reveals the scenic natural beauty of Himachal Pradesh such as rising mountains and rising bright sun. It is in the shape of CUHP. Its motto in sanskrit is ‘नेति नेति चरैवेति चरैवेति’ meaning 'One Must Strive Continuously and Tirelessly for Progress and Development'.

The star refers to excellence and leadership; the rays emanating from the star refer to the institution's reach and impact; and the five triangles refer to the diverse fields of engineering. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

SATYASAI ENGINEERING COLLEGE, BALASORE (SEC) The blue colour emblem of Satyasai Engineering College, Balasore (SEC) features a square divided into four squares each housing one outward pointing arrow. A traditional lamp is placed on the square. This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college. Below the seal, on a banner, the name of the place of the college is inscribed. The central stylised flower represents a humble origin that blossoms into peace, eternity, and celestial bliss. In Satya Sai organisations, it also signifies the ‘Lotus of the Heart’. The blue diamond-like shape with arrows pointing outward signifies the spread of knowledge and skills across the world in all directions. SPINTRONIC TECHNOLOGY & ADVANCE RESEARCH (STAR) The emblem of Spintronic Technology & Advance Research (STAR) features a yellow and bluetoned star inscribed with the college’s acronym encircled by fifteen stars in yellow, red and blue shades. On a blue ribbon placed below the star, the name and place of the college are written. The large star represents the acronym ‘STAR’ and reflects the institution's vision for students to ‘sparkle in the galaxy of technological arena’. It symbolises the ‘conquering of all frontiers’ in technical education and the aim for students to become leading luminaries. The ring of stars represents a community of scholars or diverse engineering disciplines.
