CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF HIMACHAL PRADESH 

The Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) which received Presidential assent on March 20, 2009 provided for the establishment of Central University of Himachal Pradesh amongst others. The University became functional with the assumption of charge by the first Vice Chancellor on January 20, 2010. The logo of the University is a unique combination of the typography and the visual approach enlightening the identity. It reflects the ambition of the university in the field of education, empowerment and environment. The three colours (i.e., yellow, green and cyan) used in the university logo are symbolised as: blue: education and empowerment; green: growth and environment and orange: development. The instantaneous view of the logo in itself reveals the scenic natural beauty of Himachal Pradesh such as rising mountains and rising bright sun. It is in the shape of CUHP. Its motto in sanskrit is ‘नेति नेति चरैवेति चरैवेति’ meaning 'One Must Strive Continuously and Tirelessly for Progress and Development'.

ECGC LIMITED ECGC Limited (Formerly Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd.), wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 with the objective of promoting exports from the country by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. Inside the gear lies a dynamic combination of industrial equipment and technical structures, signifying active research, production, and technological innovation. SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.
