SIKKIM PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY
The emblem of Sikkim Professional University (SPU) has a golden orchid, which is a symbol of the State of Sikkim which  represents elegance, refinement, innocence, grace and endurance. A motif of Teaching Buddha is placed over the orchid and all these are placed on a gold edged shield, which houses its acronym ‘SP’ and ‘University’. The name of the university and its motto ‘An Abode of Knowledge’ written in sans serif bold font are placed on its right. All of these are hosed in a blue rectangular panel. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the colour gold represents wealth, prosperity, power, prestige and achievement and the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

RAJENDRA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (RIMS) The emblem of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is directly adapted from the State Emblem of the State of Jharkhand. The central motifs of the winged Staff of Caduceus entwined by a pair of serpents crested with a flaming torch, supported by an open book and a pair of laurels replace the Lion Capital; and the name, place and motto of the college replace the name of the State. The motto of the college in Sanskrit is ‘विद्यया विन्दते अमृतम्’ (Mantra 2.4, Kenopanishad), which translates to ‘Immortality Through Knowledge’. The Staff of Caduceus symbolises medicine and medical profession; the book symbolises the accumulation and dissemination of medical knowledge and the academic foundation of the institution; the torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; and the laurels are symbols, which represent victory, honour and academic excellence.

MEDINIRAI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, PALAMU (MMCH PALAMU) The emblem of Medinirai Medical College and Hospital, Palamu (MMCH Palamu) features the Staff of Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of serpents and ensconced by a blue circular border inscribed with the name of the college and its place in Devanagari and English. The Palamu Fort and an open book form the background. Below the seal, on a blue banner, the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad), which translates to ‘May All be Healthy’ is inscribed.
