The emblem of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) has a blue shield, a dark blue band bearing its acronym. Above the band three gear wheels and below a satellite antenna are placed. The name of the university surmounts the shield. Below the shield its motto ‘In Pursuit of Knowledge and Excellence’ is inscribed on a banner. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the gears symbolise interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order; structure and the antenna denotes engineering and technology and the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
